"KESI MEANS 'BORN OF A TROUBLED TIME'" A 22x28" print of this scene I created and photographed in the Marigny neighborhood in #neworleans will be on display at the Angad Arts Hotel as part of their Twelfth Biannual Exhibition. The photograph was created with a 24-year-old Leica M8 digital camera -- Leica's first foray into digital with a sensor designed by Kodak to be similar to Kodachrome film. On the day this was made, I found the headdress at a yard sale and the seller told me her mother made it for her to wear in a New Orleans parade back in the 60s, and it had been in the attic ever since. This framed (24x36") archival print is for sale at $350 at the exhibition. The Opening Reception at Angad Arts Hotel in the Grand Center Arts District in #stlouis is Tuesday, April 29, 5-8pm with a champagne toast at 7pm. Meet and greet and eat with 33 new featured artists. Free and open to the public.
